Registration Guidelines

This guide provides solutions to common registration errors. Carefully follow the instructions to ensure a smooth registration process.

Team Name Issues

Error: Invalid or Duplicate Team Name
Ensure the team name is unique and does not contain invalid characters.
  • Issue: Team name already exists or contains invalid characters.
  • Solution: Choose a unique and valid team name.

Email-Related Errors

Error: Email Issues
Each team member must use a unique Yenepoya email ID.
  • Issue: Team member’s email already registered in another team.
  • Issue: Invalid email format (must use Yenepoya email domain).
  • Issue: Duplicate emails within the same team.
  • Solution: Use a valid Yenepoya email and ensure each member has a unique email ID.

Event Selection Errors

Warning: Incorrect Event Selection
Ensure your team selects events according to eligibility rules.

1st Year Teams:

  • Must participate only in Poster Presentation.
  • Cannot select any other events.

2nd Year Teams:

  • Must select one mandatory event (CTF, Dashboard, or Model).
  • Can optionally add Hackathon.
  • Cannot select multiple mandatory events.

3rd Year Teams:

  • Project Presentation is mandatory.
  • Can optionally add Hackathon.
  • Cannot select any other events.

Team Size Violations

Error: Team Size Violation
Teams must have between 3 and 5 members, including the leader.
  • Issue: Less than 3 members or more than 5 members.
  • Solution: Maintain a team size between 3 to 5 members.

Member Details Errors

Error: Missing or Invalid Member Details
Ensure all required fields are filled correctly.
  • Issue: Missing member information.
  • Issue: Invalid mobile number format (must be 10 digits).
  • Issue: Required fields missing (name, email, mobile, gender, t-shirt size).
  • Solution: Fill all details accurately for each member.

Course and Year Selection

Error: Course or Year Not Selected
Select the appropriate course and year before submitting.
  • Issue: Course or year field left empty.
  • Solution: Ensure the correct course and year are selected.

Technical Issues

Warning: Technical Issues
Check internet connection and retry if the issue persists.
  • Issue: Network connectivity problems.
  • Issue: Server timeout.
  • Solution:
    1. Check your internet connection.
    2. Refresh the page and try again.

Existing Registration Conflicts

Error: Member Already in Another Team
Each student can be part of only one team.
  • Issue: A team member is already registered in another team.
  • Solution:
    1. Check the Teams Page before registering.
    2. Ensure all members are not part of another team.
