Guidelines for 1st year Students — Poster Competition

Students are free to choose any topic relevant to their specialization OR May choose from the topics as mentioned in this document.


Poster Guidelines

  • Size: 3 ft x 4ft or Minimum A3 size paper

  • Placement: Wall mounted at eye level for easy visibility

  • Spacing: Adequate distance between team posters

Branding Requirements

  • Top Layout:

    • Left side: IBM Logo
    • Right side: Institute Logo (Use official IBM logo guidelines)
  • Bottom Layout: Team name and university logo centered

Team Requirements

  • Team Size: 3-5 students

  • Dress Code: IBM T-shirts mandatory for all team members

  • Participation: 100% team presence required

Presentation Format

  • Duration: 10 minutes per team

  • Coverage: All aspects of the topic must be covered

  • Preparation: Every team member should be ready to present

Judging Criteria

  1. Visual Appeal: Quality and uniqueness of poster design

  2. Content Quality: Depth, accuracy, and originality

  3. Practical Application: Real-life examples and case studies

  4. Team Synergy: Collaborative knowledge and presentation skills

Important Notes

  • Venue should be in a central, high-visibility location

  • Event must be well-publicized across campus

  • Independent work required - no faculty mentoring allowed
